Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
